Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Zephlo (“we”, operated by Archie Design App LLC) handles information when you use the Zephlo mobile app and this website.

Information we collect

• Account. When you sign in with Apple, we receive an account identifier and, if you allow it, your email address, used to create and secure your account.
• Connected Threads account. If you choose to connect Threads, we receive your Threads account identifier, username, granted permissions, and an access token. We use them only to verify the connection and perform the Threads actions you request, such as detecting a supported Zephlo save command and posting its status reply.
• Links you save. When you share a link from a social app or the web into Zephlo, we store the URL and fetch its publicly available content — the caption and, for reels, the video — to classify and extract useful details such as article summaries, place information, dishes, or recipe ingredients and steps.
• Content you create. Folders, collections, and save completion records you create in the app.
• Purchase and product usage data. Subscription and credit-purchase status (via RevenueCat), plus pseudonymous app analytics events such as screens viewed, save outcomes, feature use, and purchase outcomes (via PostHog). App events are associated with your internal account identifier so a workflow can be measured across the app and our processing service. We do not send saved URLs, saved content, folder names, search text, email addresses, or purchase receipts to PostHog.
• Service cost and processing records. For internal operations and cost control, we store processing attempts, provider usage counts, pricing-catalog versions, and the estimated API processing cost for each save. While your account exists, these records are linked to your internal account identifier and may be reviewed only through restricted internal administration tools. They are not shown to other users or published.
• Referral rewards. If you choose to claim a referral reward with Apple, we store the reward attribution and a one-way pseudonymous marker used only to prevent duplicate and self-referral claims. This abuse-prevention marker does not contain your raw Apple account identifier, email address, saved content, or library data.
• Website analytics. This website uses cookieless, aggregate PostHog analytics for page views and a small number of interactions. It does not create a person profile, use analytics cookies, or connect website activity to your Zephlo account. The site also uses Ahrefs Analytics to measure website traffic and content performance. We do not intentionally pass saved content, search text, or Zephlo account identifiers to the website analytics scripts.

How we use your information

We use your information to provide the core service (saving, extracting, and organizing your content), to manage subscriptions and credits, to prevent abuse, and to improve the app. We do not sell your personal information.

Shared previews you create

Your library is private by default. If you explicitly create a shared preview for one save, anyone with that unlisted link can see a limited preview of its structured details and source attribution, including recipe steps when they are available. The preview does not include your identity, the rest of your library, precise place coordinates, or raw extraction data. You can turn the link off at any time from the save in the app.

Third-party services

To provide Zephlo, we share limited data with service providers:

• Cloudflare — runs the app’s processing service and stores account, save, and uploaded-media data.
• Meta — provides the optional Threads account connection, mention retrieval, and replies requested through that connection.
• Google (Gemini) — classifies and extracts useful details from the public text, images, or video of links you save.
• Google (Places API) — looks up place details (address, rating, hours) for restaurants you save.
• ScrapeCreators — fetches the public content (caption, video and public metadata) of supported links you save, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X, Threads, Reddit, LinkedIn, Pinterest, creator pages, music pages, and other public sources.
• RevenueCat — processes and validates subscriptions and in-app purchases.
• PostHog — pseudonymous app analytics and cookieless website analytics. IP-based geolocation is disabled for the events we send, and session replay is disabled.
• Ahrefs Analytics — website traffic and content performance measurement for this site.
• Google AdMob — serves optional rewarded ads you choose to watch (with ATT).

Advertising and tracking

Zephlo shows only optional rewarded ads — you choose to watch an ad to earn credits. We do not show banner or interstitial ads. On iOS, we ask for your permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt before any tracking that would require it; you can decline and still use the app.

You can turn off PostHog product analytics at any time in the app under Settings by disabling Share product analytics. This is separate from Apple’s tracking permission and does not affect core app features.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your account and saves until you delete them or delete your account.

When you delete one save, it is removed from your library immediately. We retain a restricted deletion audit for up to 30 days that may include the source URL, title and author when available, save and deletion times, extracted-item counts, processing attempts, provider usage, and estimated API processing cost. We use this record only for operational auditing and cost control, and it is available only in restricted internal administration tools. It is removed sooner if you delete your account.

You can delete your account from within the app’s settings. Before the account is removed, we add its API cost records to identifier-free daily cost totals grouped by date, source type, and content type. Those totals contain no user ID, save ID, URL, title, author, or email address. Your account, saves, other personal content, and user-linked deletion and cost records are then removed from our systems. If you claimed a referral reward, we may retain its one-way pseudonymous marker for up to 365 days solely to prevent a deleted account from claiming the same new-user reward again. It cannot be used to sign in or recover your Apple account identifier and does not include your email address or saved content. Aggregated analytics that no longer identifies an account may also be retained.

Children’s privacy

Zephlo is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us to make a request.
